Method 1: Create a New User Account with Admin Rights

In order to fix the error 1321, the user can make a new user account with admin rights. The steps involved in this process are as follows:
  • Click on Start tab
  • Click on control panel and then select the Users/accounts
  • After that, the user should chooseNew user
  • And then give a name to the account and ensure that it is set as an admin
  • The next step is to perform creating an account by click on the create account option
  • Now, log out of the account that is currently used
  • And then end the process by logging in to the New account

Method 2: Edit the Windows permissions on the folder

  1. First of all, press Windows + R keys to open the Run box.
  2. After that enter the path for the folder containing the QuickBooks program files in the Open field, and press the Enter key:

  • In the new window, choose View > Customize this folder.
  • Now go to the Properties window, and navigate to the Security tab.
  • Now on the Security tab, hit a click Administrators.
  • Select the Allow checkbox next to Full Control.
  • On the Security tab, select the SYSTEM user.
  • Select the Allow checkbox next to Full Control.
  • Click OK to close the Properties window.
  • Install QuickBooks desktop.
